MONETA Money Bank and PASSERINVEST Group have signed an agreement for the long-term rental of the building Budova A with a total area of 21 500 m2 in Prague’s BB Centrum. MONETA will be moving into the building, which is currently undergoing complete reconstruction, in the middle of next year, thereby getting new, modern and larger spaces for its further development.
MONETA Money Bank, one of the strongest banks on the Czech market, has decided to remain in the multifunctional BB Centrum complex in Prague 4, which is administered and developed by the investment and development company PASSERINVEST GROUP, a.s.. MONETA Money Bank’s headquarters are currently in the building Budova B on Vyskočilova Street. “Our bank is growing and with it the demands on innovative spaces, which the current building no longer offers. Thus we looked for new headquarters that will let us continue to grow and realise our strategy to transform the bank into a digital champion, for which a modern and inspirational working environment is one of the foundation blocks,” stated Tomáš Spurný, Chairman and CEO of MONETA Money Bank, Czech Republic, adding, “and BB Centrum, with its philosophy, location and offer of services, fulfilled this.”
The renovation of the internal and external parts of the building is taking place in cooperation with MONETA Money Bank, so that it satisfies, to the greatest possible extent, the needs and requirements of the group to ensure a pleasant working environment and sufficient space for relaxation and leisure. It will include roof-top and atrium terraces and the entire building will be equipped with new cooling technology. There will also be a new canteen in the concept of an open cafeteria for the public, which is a great added value in BB Centrum.
MONETA Money Bank will be the sole tenant of the entire office section of the building and its retail spaces. “We really appreciate MONETA’s long years of confidence and its decision to continue
to remain in BB Centrum. That is, for us, proof that BB Centrum’s location and services correspond with the requirements of strong companies, which can find suitable conditions for their further development here,” commented Radim Passer, the founder and CEO and Chairman of the Board of PASSERINVEST GROUP, a.s.
“On the Czech market it is a unique transaction when the client moves into a reconstructed building and not into new spaces. For us it is evidence that our strategy of truly thorough reconstruction is correct. We invest up to 50% of the total construction costs needed for the original construction of the building into such a reconstruction. Thus we maintain it over the long term and increase its high standard, which satisfies the ever growing demands of multinational companies, among others,” stated Vladimír Klouda, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of PASSERINVEST GROUP, a.s.
PASSERINVEST GROUP bought back the buildings Budova A and Budova B in the 4th quarter of 2016 in accordance with its long-term strategy. The building Budova B (the bank’s current headquarters) will also undergo revitalisation and will open to its new tenants during the course of 2019.
