Raiffeisenbank a.s., together with Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich AG, have granted an investment loan to New Karolina Office Development, a.s. Totalling up to CZK 715 million, the loan will be used for the construction of an office complex known as Nová Karolina Park, Ostrava.
“Raiffeisenbank is a traditional partner in funding development projects on the Czech market. Given the rather unclear situation on the current market, we would like to cooperate with experienced and strong partners to further strengthen our position,” said Tomáš Gürtler, Real Estate Finance Director, Raiffeisenbank.
The project is a joint investment of three major investors: PASSERINVEST GROUP, GEMO OLOMOUC, and Multi Development Czech Republic. “During the negotiations, we appreciated the Raiffeisenbank team’s capabilities of delivering workable solutions. We are pleased to see that our project has won support of an experienced financial partner, said Ondřej Plocek, Member of the Board, PASSERINVEST GROUP.
The office building of Nová Karolina Park is a unique architectural project, sensitively set amidst a newly urbanised area which forms an imaginary gate opening from the historical heart of Ostrava. Nová Karolina Park offers almost 25,000 square metres of prime office space spread over 6 above-ground storeys complete with another 4,000 square metres of shops, services and catering facilities. Aside from the attractive office space with the option of flexible floor area partitioning, the building will have 280 parking spaces on the underground storey.
Nová Karolina Park is scheduled to be completed and officially open at the end of 2012 and 1Q 2013 respectively. It will achieve a BREEAM rating for green buildings.
