We are delighted to announce that BB Centrum, a fast growing city district in Prague 4, Michle, has further expanded to a total of nine buildings. The new Building Gamma, situated in the southern corner of BB Centrum, in the immediate proximity to the D1 Motorway, has a good chance of becoming the new dominant feature of BB Centrum thanks to its unique architectural concept. One of the largest real estate transactions conducted last year, the lease of the building to Telefónica O2 Czech Republic confirmed BB Centrum’s status as an address of well-established international companies.
Building Gamma has a total area of 30,000 square metres spread over ten above ground levels and three basements, along with over 500 parking places. The typical floor area of Gamma exceeds 3,000 square metres. Construction began in January 2005. With its architectural design, the building ranks among the most impressive modern office developments. “Gamma is the best example of architecture that combines form and function. Its façade is made of sixteen various kinds of material, and effectively reduces noise towards the Trunk Road. Spread over two floors, the impressive conference rooms protrude into the atrium, offering a unique view of the unparalleled interior arrangement of the building,” said Chief Architect of BB Centrum, Jan Aulík from architectural Studio A.
Also this building will have a garden with an observation gallery on the roof, inviting you to rest and relax. ”We are committed to developing such buildings that will provide their tenants with a first-class working environment and, furthermore, there must be services that are vital for spending leisure adequately,” said Radim Passer, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Passerinvest Group. ”Like the previously completed buildings of BB Centrum, Gamma offers not only office space: the BB Centrum employees, as well as local residents of Michle will have an opportunity to go to Le Pavillon French restaurant on the ground floor. In addition, this April will see the opening of a new shopping and sports centre, Brumlovka, with a top-class fitness and wellness centre. In view of this, the broad range of services available at BB Centrum will be further extended to include, for example, a community centre with a school and kindergarten, as well as two parks in the future,” added Radim Passer.
Planning to move to Building Gamma during this April, Telefónica O2 Czech Republic has chosen BB Centrum as the seat of the company for the overall quality of the scheme which they have experienced thanks to Eurotel, which has been located in buildings A and D (since 2002).
”Relocation of the seat of our company to one place is a logical response to the merger of ČESKÝ TELECOM and Eurotel Praha. Gamma will be the largest and undoubtedly one of the most attractive buildings of this complex. Our company is getting further space, in line with our new brand. More importantly, the new seat will physically link our teams which have been working together since last July,” said Martin Bek, Chief Human Resources & Support Services Officer, Telefónica O2 Czech Republic.
The Building Gamma project was financed by HVB Bank and realised by PSJ Holding as General Contractor.
